Facebook just reminded me that my father’s funeral was one year ago. Not that I had forgotten it. But it does seem like their algorithm needs to be re-set to ‘happy memories’. Or maybe I should consider it a service that they are standing by to note the passage of time for me. Otherwise, I might just be living my life and forget that this year has been difficult. Nope, hadn’t forgotten that either. Choices are to be sad or to remember the happy times. Going with happy times. Here are some vacation photos of Dad hiking with us in tow. Mom was behind the camera. We all still love to hike so, mission accomplished on that. The main photo is Dad with his brothers and Granddaddy John, also hiking, on a family vacation. According to Dad they really never took vacations so this is a rare image.
